Learning Skills.
Somewhere
in Freedom City, there's an area which has a pole covered with flyers.
Looking at the flyers will reveal who can teach you what, whether it be
fuck, blades, climb.. you get the picture. The game pretty much
revolves around XP. Type Score to see your total.. if you've earned XP,
it should say something like "XP 13 (13 unspent)." XP is mostly earned
by fighting. Each thing that you beat will award you with a XP bonus.
The more XP you earn, the better things are for your character. You can
spend this XP to earn levels in particular skills. For example..

According to the flyer, I can learn/raise Linguist from Hasu. I have to
find her first. A bit of hunting around reveals the randy bitch lurking
in the Giggling Schoolgirl stripclub.
2. Type 'learn from Hasu' to see what skills she's able to offer.

This
basically means you've raised a skill at it's RAW base. Tutors will
teach you up to a certain level, but beyond that you will have to earn
levels via percentage. Raise the percent in a skill to 100%, and you
will earn yourself a new RAW level.
The
more levels you can raise, the more skillful your character becomes in
the skill of your choice, and the better it is able to survive. Lovely.
If you don't have enough XP, then the 'bot' characters will let you know how much more you need to earn. For example

Makin' Money
There's a few ways to make money when you first start out. Here's three of them.
- Method One:
: Take a trip to the orphanage. It seems that some of the parentless
children have managed to contract rabies. . and we can't have that.
Sister Agnes WON'T have that. If you look at the children in the
orphanage, you should be able to tell which ones are rabid, and which
are mostly healthy. Find a kid that's foaming at the mouth (make sure
you look at them to make sure you're only killing rabid ones), and
stab/shoot/punch it till it's dead. Then go upstairs to the
administration office, find Sister Agnes, and type -Agnes "Pay me,
please!" She'll pay you $50 for every rabid child you put down. Not bad
for being a baby killer. (Don't let Alvin see you doing it, though.)

- Method Two:
Another way to earn some cash is to wander up to the citizens, and ask them what they need. For example..

6Ray [to Kaiokori]: I'm starving, I'm horny as a goat, I need a smoke, and I lost my lighter.
Supply
him with any of them (fuck him, give him some meat hacked from a dog
corpse, etc), and you'll earn yourself between $2 and $160. You'll find
a lot of the citizens browsing the local attractions at the Giggling
Schoolgirl, and if you work hard and remain lucky, you can earn a fair
amount very quickly.
- Method Three:
Find the Sharpton Projects. On the map, you'll see a green square that
states PR. (One south of the orphanage.) Head into that area by going
Northeast from the junction.. and then (there's a choice of directions)
east once you're inside. You're in! Down here, you'll find a variety of
rats of all shapes and sizes. They give varying amount of XP, but you
can earn up to 9XP per kill. If you're REALLY new in, run away from
giant rats and stick to the tiny/small/tan rats. They're less likely to
deal you a large amount of damage. (Don't forget your trauma kit, just
in case.) Once you've killed one, hack the tail from it. It's worth
$100 to the right guy, somewhere in Sharpton. His name is Chester.
Sharpton is a maze, so be prepared to spend a while down there on your
first try. Sharpton is also made for newbies, and there's nothing
massively dangerous down there just yet. (Hint: Try searching in random rooms. You might find some goodies.)
The Do Not's.
There's
not really many Do Nots in Hellmoo, but the few that there are will end
up with you pretty deaded. I'm not going to spoil the fun, but I WOULD
suggest not attacking people/animals in the streets or shops when
there's police camera's hovering nearby.
Common sense, right?
You're
likely to get socked in the face with either a trucheon-wielding robot,
or have your intestines strewn across the ground due to the rather
large K-9 dog who's just bitten clean through your abdomen. Hooray! If
someone or something attacks you, you'll automatically fight back to
defend yourself, and likely have some police help beating your opponent
into a bloody pulp. Don't start fights in Freedom City, kiddies. Just
finish them.
