"The shocking depravity of HellMOO is really a huge asset, because it makes the initial stages of the game entertaining enough to get past that early MUD hump. This style of game tends to have a significant learning curve and time investment before the real fun happens. In HellMOO, you're hooked by discovering all the terrible things you can do to orphans, and all the while the depth of the game is subtly revealing itself. In the average MUD you have to slog through a bunch of horribly boring shit with the hope that something fun might come out of it later."
"The more I play this, the more I love it. Unbelievably awesome work. I never knew what a terrible person I was before. Thanks, HellMOO!"
"I think the best way to describe HellMOO is a hundred thousand Troma flicks smashed together into something you can interact with. Assfucking zombies, having plutonioum-rod fights, smoking a bong full of hyperganja and having a stick of dynamite go off in your hand because you forgot you lit it - you can pretty much do anything as long as it's ridiculous."
